
Bas van Overeem graduated from the University of Groningen in 1992. He has been working as a lawyer since 1993. He has been a partner at Corten De Geer Vastgoedadvocaten since 2015. Bas drafts contracts and advises and litigates in disputes concerning the rental, purchase and sale of real estate and general contract law. He also assists real estate agents and project developers with all kinds of legal issues. In 1999, he completed the Specialisation Course of the Association of Tenancy Law Solicitors (VHA) and in 2002 the Grotius specialisation course in real estate. Bas assists developers, landlords and real estate agents in all kinds of real estate-related issues.
Bas also lectures in civil procedural law at VU University Amsterdam and teaches private law at the Academy for Real Estate (real estate agent training). Bas is a supervisor at housing associations and a certified intervision coach. Finally, Bas is an (unpaid) director at various foundations and associations.
Bas has extensive experience in complex procedures and developments. He is pragmatic, does not like long, complicated advices, but acts pragmatically and with an eye for results. Bas is a partner to his clients when it comes to making decisions.
Bas enjoys long-distance hiking in the mountains and can also regularly be found on the Frisian waters. And: he can never get enough of books!
